Fife care home residents congratulate P7 leavers

Creative residents at a north east Fife care home have helped P7 pupils mark the end of their time at primary school with a special message.

Residents at Tayside View care home created a poster congratulating the P7 leavers at the local school.

While the care home has not been able to do inter-generational work with its residents and local school pupils because of the pandemic, letters, cards and messages of support have been shared back and forth.

The residents wanted to be a part of the occasion and congratulate the pupils.

The poster was displayed in the local Co-op in the village, and the residents got some fantastic feedback from the local community on the poster.

Mr Barr, from Newburgh PS, sent thanks on behalf of the school in the form of a card and some sunflowers.

The care home team are looking forward to being able to welcome the schools back into the care home in the future – and until then using technology to keep the inter-generational work going.
