Fife chef to compete on BBC show
One of the chefs competing is Amy Elles who runs The Harbour Café in Elie.
In 2006 London-born Amy moved up to Scotland and together with her husband Jack, set up The Laughing Stock Food, a catering business specialising in street food, and Stocks Events, specialising in weddings and private catering.

“I’ve watched the series since the start and now it’s my turn.
“To get the opportunity to do what I love and to have children’s literature as the brief is incredible.
“It’s made me revisit some of the classic books that I read as a child and to study the ones I read currently with my children.

Hide Ad“It has been challenging to create four courses that not only tell the story, look good and most importantly taste delicious while showing respect and honouring the authors who have been the inspiration.
“This together with the new introduction of the amuse bouche and palate cleanser – but I’ve loved it.
“I love living in the East Neuk of Fife and I’ve found it is the ideal place to source so many wonderful products.
“My cooking philosophy is simple, to use all the wonderful local ingredients that Scotland has to offer.”
The first of the Scotland episodes will be shown on BBC Two on April 1, 8pm.
