Fifers young and old have been showing their support with donations of cash, knitted items, toys, pyjamas and food.

But brave Tony Rodgers and Daniel Lawson have taken it to a new level by signing up for a charity skydive to raise money for children and their families living in poverty.

Pauline Buchan, strategic manager of the Cottage said: “We are trying to thank everyone on our Facebook page as the donations or pledges of support come in or are dropped off to our centres – but we want to say,. once again, we can’t do it without the generosity of the local community.

“We are so, so grateful. The response has been amazing so far and we hope that it continues for the rest of the campaign too.

“What’s really warmed our hearts is that there are so many children and young people raising money and donating things for the appeal this year, -it is really

amazing that even at such a young age they are thinking of others who are less fortunate.

“We would also like to give a mention to all of those in the community who have donated but wish to remain anonymous. We really appreciate your generosity.”
