Fife golf club starts annual Christmas card delivery service

A north east Fife golf club will be helping deliver Christmas cards again this year.

Santa’s helpers at Cupar Golf Club will be collecting and delivering your Xmas cards - around Cupar only – and again inviting a donation of 30p per card, with proceeds going to the club.

Keith Ridley, club captain, said: “In spite of the issues, the club feels that the collections can go ahead, carefully, this year -–the 13th year that we have done this job for the town.

“Our Club members wanted to do it again. We know that we delivered thousands of cards last year round the town and didn’t want to disappoint our regular customers. We also see this as a great way to spread a little Christmas goodwill around Cupar.”

This year, the club has three collection points for the cards: Gilmour’s newsagents, 94 Bonnygate; Libo’s Fish and Chips, 124 Bonnygate; and Caring for Cupar, 54 Crossgate.

The collection points will accept cards and the 30p per card donations (no change given this year) until the last day for collection, December 19.

The club is also taking cards at the clubhouse, and sorting them in the company of stewardess Debbie and chef Leon.

Debbie and Leon’s catering is very good and open to local residents, as well as club members. They are open daily except Mondays and Wednesdays, subject to government restrictions.

Booking is recommended and can be done by calling the number, 01334-653549.

Over the next few weeks, golf club members will be delivering your cards around the town – to arrive before Christmas.

Weather permitting, the club is also still playing golf and has a winter offer for new members.

Enquiries should be made to the club or through the website – www.cupargolfclub.co.uk.
