Fife McDonald’s staff raise over £7000 for charity

Employees at McDonald’s restaurants in Fife have raised a whopping £7280 for Ronald McDonald House in Glasgow after taking part in the company’s ‘Map the Mac’ challenge

Staff in Leven, Glenrothes, Bankhead Park, Kirkcaldy, and two restaurants in Dunfermline got involved in the challenge and between them £7280.

The teams competed against other McDonald’s restaurants to cover 1100 miles across Scotland by walking, running, cycling or swimming.

Ronald McDonald House Glasgow provides a cost free ‘home away from home’ support to thousands of families with long-term or seriously ill children in hospital.

Franchisee Jimmy Patrick, who owns four of the McDonald’s in Fife that took part, said: “I’d like to thank all of the dedicated employees for all of their hard work and commitment, as well as everyone who donated to such a worthy cause.

"Map the Mac was a brilliant way for employees to get together, have fun and exercise outside, whilst raising vital funds for the charity at the same time.”
