Earlier this month, the 18 pupils did a fundraising walk for the MRT. The walk was a very hilly 2.5 miles in the local area.

Everyone really enjoyed the challenge; splashing in puddles, being outdoors, encouraging each other and walking up hills.

“This was an alternative learning experience for the children in term one; due to Covid-19 they cannot go on school trips or have visitors into the school,” said Mrs Spence, class teacher.

“This was an idea that the children had and we worked together, creating posters, choosing a challenging route to walk and fundraising.”

“My favourite part was seeing the cows and sheep,” said Ayda.

“We saw lots of nature and autumn colours, it was very interesting,” added Vienna.

Tilly said: “The walk was so fun, I loved running and talking. I hope we can do it again next year.”

“It was a beautiful walk up the hills,” admitted Fergus.

“We walked to the phone mast and back to school, it was really fun. It was sunny and we had a snack.”
