Fife Show cancelled due to Coronavirus

The 2020 Fife Show has been cancelled because of Coronavirus, the event’s organisers have confirmed.

The agricultural event, which brings thousands of people every year to Kinloss, near Cupar, was due to take place on May 23.

The committee of the Fife Agricultural Association said it is now focusing on next year’s event.

A statement from the committee said: “This decision was taken after careful consideration of the Scottish Government’s advice and recommendation that all events, at which there are likely to be more than 500 people present, should be cancelled.

“2021 will see the 200th anniversary of the Fife Show so the committee will now put all their efforts into making next year a very special event.

“The show will take place on Saturday, May 22, 2021.”

The cancellation of the Fife Show follows the cancellation of the Ceres and Cupar highland games.
