The event, which attracts people from across the district, has grown in size since it launched in the Kings Theatre, Kirkcaldy in October 2024.

Since then three other events have taken place, including an outdoor event last summer when it took over the pedestrianised zone of the High Street.

This weekend sees it return to the Old Kirk in Kirk Wynd, with a line up of vendors from Fife and further afield.

The popular event will run from 11am to 4pm and offer visitors the chance to browse stalls offering vegan food, drink and more.

Vegfest is organised by a small committee of volunteers who have tapped into a growing interest in the sector.

Among the stall holders this time are a number of returning businesses including Kirkcaldy favourites The Tiffin, offering authentic Punjabi street food; QBee Rustique, with allergy friendly cakes, sweet and savoury pastries and crepes; Simply Flo specialising in Lebanese cuisine and Dunfermline-based Considerit with their doughnuts and chocolate.

There will also be world vegan food from Marwick’s Vegan Kitchen; Bodylushious will have handcrafted vegan products made with love and positive vibes; and the Skadi Bakery will bring plant based mindful baking with a sustainable take on traditional recipes.

Hungry Squirrel offer award winning natural nut butters, made in Scotland with no palm oil and no refined sugar; while Raw, Wild and Conscious will bring along vegan chocolate made using the finest organic ingredients.

Kirkcaldy’s Ecobean Coffee Roasters will also have a stall with their ethically sourced and sustainably packaged single origin and blended coffees.

Among the newcomers this time are Slow Sauce, Scotland’s first Miso and Shoyu brewery, using traditional Japanese methods and UK ingredients to make condiments.
