Through the project, FVA is asking Fifers to share their experiences of living through the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

The charity is collecting stories from local people – short stories, long stories, great news, concerns in the face of adversity, and uplifting tales of heroism through a tool called Sensemaker.

This tool allows FVA to produce reports, data and insights (without collecting personal details) that will directly feed into how services will be designed and delivered in Fife in 2021.

Kenny Murphy, FVA CEO said: “We have been working with a number of partners in Fife to come up with an innovative way of learning from people about their experiences of dealing with the pandemic.

"We have seen a huge number of positive stories about communities, volunteers and people coming together, giving up their time to help others, and making their communities stronger to deal with the pandemic crisis.”

Mr Murphy adds that the charity wants to find out how the general public and community groups can work together with the public sector to tackle common issues.

“We’re interested in how individuals and community groups working alongside public services found new solutions together,” he added. “We’d like to understand how these connections are formed and what impact it had.

"These stories will tell us how public services can work better with, and for, people in Fife.”
