Fifer takes on dawn till dusk golf challenge for Anthony Nolan

Robert Duff, from Leven, is holding a ‘Golf Day’ on July 16, at his local club in Falkland, to raise funds for blood cancer charity Anthony Nolan.
Starting at early daylight, and finishing when he can’t see the course anymore, Robert aims to complete as many holes as possible.

It will cost £10 for nine holes, £20 for 18. Anyone interested in taking part can contact Robert by emailing [email protected], or calling 07775964804.
Robert has decided to hold the event as he has been a supporter of Anthony Nolan for more than 30 years, and realises that during this difficult time, the charity will welcome as much support as they can.
“I have tried to do something at least every couple of years to raise money for Anthony Nolan,” Robert said.

“In the past three or four years, I have played 100 holes in one day, and then played nine holes on six courses in one day, spanning 250 miles – Thurso to start then Falkland to finish.
“In the past, I’ve also completed three marathons, bike runs, abseils, successful auction evenings, and many other smaller scale fundraisers.
“Recently, during this uncertain time, there have been many events that have been widely followed and supported, and, I thought, I could try that too. I know the difference they make.”
