The history of two north east Fife villages is the subject of a new website.

‘Newport: a special place’ is the latest creation from the Newport History Group, providing information all about the village and Wormit. It covers everything from leisure and transport to Newport at war and much more.

There are also thousands of images of the two villages to be seen.

The website will launch next Wednesday and can be found at www.newportontayhistory.org.uk.

The group, which has around 300 members, also has on sale the very popular Old Newport and Wormit calendar. It costs £6 ( £8 with postage). Anyone wanting details on how to acquire one can email [email protected].
