Kirkcaldy has put on a fantastic show for the judges in the 2026 Beautiful Scotland competition.
Judges visited the Lang Toun last Friday to see the huge amount of work done to improve the environment and horticulture across the town centre.
They were given a tour which took them from the War Memorial Gardens to Beveridge Park and visited key areas including Wemyssfield, the Town House, Old Kirk, Merchant’s House and the Esplanade.
Kirkcaldy has enjoyed huge success in the competition, winning gold for the second time in three years in 2024, and it has made its mark at the Britain In Bloom awards, securing gold last year.
That is down to the hard work of Growing Kirkcaldy’s volunteers, working with Fife Council.
The local authority also took the runners -up spot for its work in Kirkcaldy in the 2025 Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society Award which goes to the council that demonstrates the highest standard of horticulture in public open spaces.
Growing Kirkcaldy led the tour with representatives from a number of organisations.
The winners will be announced later next month.
