In Pictures: unique beach cricket as Ship Inn take on the famous MCC

The Ship inn Cricket Club in Elie is the only one in the world to play its home games on a beach.

And last weekend, it hosted its annual game against the famous MCC - Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).

While conditions were blowy, the sun shone and the spectators were treated to some fine action after the seaweed had been removed and a wicket prepared on the sand.

On Friday, August 7, Elie take on Earlsferry in its annual fixture, while Saturday 8th brings an Authors XI to the sands for another special afternoon.
