Kirkcaldy charity receives Amazon donation to help families with additional needs

A Kirkcaldy charity for people and families with additional needs has received a bumper donation of items from Amazon.

The online giant has donated toilet rolls, nappies, baby wipes, kitchen rolls, cleaning products, toiletries and clothing among other items to Nourish to help vulnerable families.

Lynne Scott, Nourish manager said: “Amazon have been absolutely fantastic.

"They will all be distributed to families over the next couple of weeks. We have limited giving out donations to one day a week to ensure we are keeping to the guidelines and not encouraging people to leave their homes.

Nourish has moved its services online to ensure that the families can still get help.

Added Lynne: "This is a really difficult time for everyone. When you add in the complications and challenges of caring for a child with a disability with no respite, families are struggling more than ever.
