The spooky treasure hunt took place at the Rabbit Braes community park and was organised by volunteers from the Rabbit Braes Development Group.

Adults and children were invited along on Saturday between 11am and 7pm to take part in the spooky trail with prizes up for grabs for the best dressed adult and a lucky draw for all who competed.

The group was not able to hold its usual Halloween party due to the pandemic, so organisers decided to hold an event outdoors instead.

A spokesman said: “It was an amazing success. We reckon we had between 250 and 300 children and probably the same number of adults, attending but all families kept in their groups and as we were there for eight hours, there was plenty of time and space to ensure safety.

"The last group left at 7pm and we have had some lovely messages on on Facebook about the event.”

The spokesman added: “I would just like to thank the committee and their family members and volunteers from Kirkcaldy High School for all their hard work. Anyone who is interested in joining our committee is more than welcome to get involved and can email us at: [email protected] or call Lorraine on 077427 20561.”
