A kind hearted taxi driver from Kirkcaldy has donated part of his competition winnings to a town charity.

Brian Gilbert won £1000 on an on-air competition with KingdomFM, and gave half of it to Nourish Support Centre which has a base in the Mercat Shopping Centre and also shares an HQ with the radio station.

He visited Nourish to present the cheque and had the opportunity to meet with members of the Happy Mondays group - a programme which provides social activities and support for individuals with additional needs.

Lynne Scott, chief executive of Nourish, said: “We are truly grateful to Brian for his generosity. This donation will make a significant impact on our work with carers, families, and individuals with additional needs in the local community. It’s a beautiful example of community spirit and support.”
