Kirkcaldy men set to walk the Affric Kintail Way for charities

Three men from Kirkcaldy are walking the Affric Kintail Way in Scotland’s Highlands to raise money for two charities in the town next Friday.

Tony Grubb, Ally Caldicott and Kevin Henderson hope to raise £2000 for Nourish Family Support Centre and Kirkcaldy Foodbank by tackling the 44 mile route in three days.

The trio had hoped to do the trek at the start of the month but have postponed it until October 9.

Starting at Drumnadrochit on Loch Ness and finishing at Morvich in Kintail by Loch Duich, the trio will brave some of the harshest weather that Scotland has to offer.

In a post on Facebook Ally said: “Tony, Kev and myself are walking the Affric Kintail Way in aid of two amazing local charities.

"Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to postpone the date we set off, we are now going on October 9.

He added: "We are at the half way mark of reaching our £2000 target.”
