"The hope is that by acting now we can put the brakes on, get the virus back under control, and avoid even more damaging measures.
“I’ve made no secret of my support for local businesses and I know they’ll be really worried at the moment. I’d urge them to look into the support available from the Scottish Government – support that is over and above the UK Government’s furlough scheme. “This is a situation not of our making and I understand why some folk are growing weary of these disruptions to our lives.
