The idea for the scheme came from one of its presenters, Keith Poole, who is a member of the fellowship, and a radio broadcaster of over 20 years.

Keith has worked on several hospital radio stations and is now a regular presenter of a country music show on Kirkcaldy’s Community Radio K107fm.

When lockdown occurred last March, he along with Rev Bill Macdonald and Colin Johnson of the programme team of K107 got together via the Internet and decided to provide a weekly church based programme, Here I am To Worship - so that anyone who cannot go to church, or has no access to the Internet, can tune in and take part in a service.

Keith, who presents the programme and produces it from his home in Fife, said: “We have a team of seven who produce the show.

"Each week it’s a different minister and their wives (who record our bible readings) work on a rota basis - they send me their recorded items and I collate them and put the whole programme together.

"I also add gospel music to the programme. This is recorded by me at home and sent into the programme team who have been great at adding it into our system.”

Keith continued: “Since we began the programme last year, the number of listeners we have has grown and it’s probably one of the biggest outreach events I’ve been involved in.

People listen in from as far afield as Canada, South Africa and Australia. Listeners now number in the hundreds”.

People can get more involved by visiting the Lawview Fellowship web site (www.lawview.online ) and leave their contact details so each week they can receive the words to the hymns allowing them to sing along in their own homes. Lawview also produces a weekly newsletter with thoughts for the week from three pastors along with information and Bible-based quizzes. Lawview Christian Fellowship also holds regular Bible study and communion all via Zoom.

Here I am To Worship is Broadcast every Sunday at 11am on Kirkcaldy’s Community Radio K107 via 107fm and online at www.k107.co.uk
