Christine Cunningham-Smith, who owns Bliss Beauty, along with assistant manager Charlene Londra, are holding an interactive at home fundraising event on Sunday, February 28.

The live event, which starts at 4.30pm, will take participants through a relaxing facial experience – with money from the session going to Gino’s Journey which funds life-changing medication for Charlene’s little boy Gino.

Five-year-old Gino has a chromosome disorder, global development delay and epilepsy and the one treatment his parents believe can help him, Bedrolite, is only available privately so they have had to fundraise so they could afford to buy it for him.

The first online fundraiser, held in December, raised £400, and the second one, which took place last month, collected around £800.

Charlene recently revealed the amazing difference Bedrolite has made to her son’s life - he had been suffering around 800 fits in a month but since taking the CBD oil these have drastically reduced by an incredible 80 per cent.

She explained what locals can expect from the next fundraising event: “Anyone can take part in the interactive facial, all the details are on the Bliss Beauty Facebook page and once people sign up we can get the products out to them that they will be using on the day.

"This is a firm and lift facial. You pay your £15 booking fee and £10 is redeemable against any Clarins products you want to buy and £5 goes towards Gino’s Journey.

"We put together a skincare package with all the products people need to go along with the live interactive facial. You get a little Gino gift star as well.

"On the day you click on the link provided and just follow the steps as I am doing them.

"For specific movements on the skin, people can follow which are designed to boost the collagen and stimulate the skin’s circulation. We are online for around an hour and a half.”

She added: “It is amazing being able to do this help Gino as well as supporting Bliss Beauty while the business is closed just now.”
