A Kirkcaldy town centre pub wants to serve food and drink outdoors.

The Robert Nairn pub in Kirk Wynd has applied to Fife Council for permission to serve customers outside.

It wants to put tables and chairs next on the pavement next to the building.

The Wetherspoons bar, which opened in 1999, is seeking a relaxation agreement to allow it to join other town bars which have created beer gardens and outdoor spaces.

It applied to put tables and chairs outside in 2012, but was refused.

Supporting documents in the current application state that all drinks will be ordered via the chain’s app, and all drinks will be delivered to tables by staff.

Councillors will consider the application in due course.
