Kirkcaldy singer-songwriter Billy Reekie wowed Little Mix on their TV show to find a band to support them on tour.

Auditioning for a place in the vocal and instruments band, he appeared on their prime time show Little Mix: The Search on BBC1 on Sunday night.

Performing an original song, he got four yeses from the band to progress to the concert stage of the competition before being eliminated.

The show launched last month with the band members becoming mentors as they put together a boy band.

All musicians auditioned individually with the most impressive going through to the next stage.

All four were blown away by Billy ‘s performance.

They said they felt “every word from the first line” and said he was an “incredible songwriter.”

Writing on his Facebook page before the show aired, Billy wrote: “I had no idea how this show was gonna go but it has been absolutely amazing!! So much talent in one place.”
