McColl's confirms closure of Fife branch

RS McColl is to close a branch in one Fife town.

The company has confirmed that the store in the Glamis Centre, Glenrothes, will close its doors next month.

It’s understood the shop will shut on October 16.

McColl’s has already confirmed plans to shut 330 stores over the coming three to four years.

A spokesman for McColl’s said: “We are saddened to no longer be operating the stores and our priority has been to support all affected colleagues.”

The company’s store in North Street, Glenrothes, is unaffected.
