The Create in Fife Facebook group, set up by the creative development team at ONFife, aims to create a digital community to help all of the Kingdom’s creatives to stay motivated and inspired and is an opportunity to showcase work, receive feedback and support each other throughout these uncertain times.

Although it is mainly for creative professionals, anyone who is looking for creative ideas and inspiration is welcome to join.

And all artforms and professions are encouraged to join in.

With many creative practitioners in Fife now isolated and unable to create work in their normal spaces or routines it can be a lonely time and may be difficult for them to stay motivated.

However the group is a positive and uplifting online space to help creative practitioners connect with others and keep up that motivation.

The group is part of the wider #ShineOnFife campaign which aims to bring communities together, inspire, entertain and uplift people throughout the current pandemic.

Since launching last week, over 90 members have joined the group and the number continues to grow each day.

Those behind the project are delighted with the response so far, seeing people from across Fife and from all backgrounds sharing their work and supporting each other.

Rosie Sim, creative development and partnerships advisor for ONFife said: “The lockdown has had a huge impact on the creative community in Fife which is why ONFife acted quickly as part of the #ShineOnFife campaign to provide a forum that allowed people to continue networking and collaborating and we’re delighted to have such a great response.”

Members of the group are free to ask questions, look for advice, post news, opportunites and comments.

And to help with the motivation, within the group every Monday a Creative of the Week will be shared from the Create in Fife Instagram account; on Wednesday’s there will be Happy Hump-Day Inspirational News; and on a Friday a total free-for-all is encouraged with everyone posting, using the hashtag #ShareYourWorkFridayFifer to share what you’ve been up to each week.
