Online fundraiser nets over £2000 for Kirkcaldy boy's life changing medication

An online fundraiser hosted by staff from a Kirkcaldy beauty salon has raised over £2000 to go towards a little boy’s life changing medication.

Christine Cunningham-Smith, who owns Bliss Beauty, along with assistant manager Charlene Londra, held the interactive at home fundraising event on Sunday, February 28.

The live event took participants through a relaxing facial experience – with money from the session going to Gino’s Journey which funds life-changing medication for Charlene’s little boy Gino.

Five-year-old Gino has a chromosome disorder, global development delay and epilepsy and the one treatment his parents believe can help him, Bedrolite, is only available privately so they have had to fundraise so they could afford to buy it for him.

The first online fundraiser, held in December, raised £400, and the second one, which took place last month, collected around £800.

This one has collected the most yet with an amazing £2745 raised for Gino’s Journey. Charlene said she was delighted with the amount collected.
