Over £4000 raised in less than 24 hours to help Fife Zoo after fire
A fundraiser for Fife Zoo, which was hit by a fire on Sunday afternoon, has already raised over £4000.
Fire crews tackled a blaze in the building housing the animal attraction’s soft play centre, which was still closed to the public.

No animals were injured during the incident and one person was treated for smoke inhalation.
The Go Fund Me page was set up by Kristi Morton offering support to the zoo, near Collessie, late on Sunday afternoon.
In a statement on social media, the team at Fife Zoo said: “Thank you all for your support at this difficult time.

“We have lost a lot, but we are overwhelmed by the genuine support and care from the local community and from a far.”
People are also encouraged to keep an eye on their social media pages for regular updates and information on how they can support the zoo and help it to rebuild and recover.
Fife Zoo had only reopened its doors to the public on June 29 after being closed since the Covid-19 lockdown in March.
