Plans for huge post-coronavirus party in Fife town postponed

Plans to have a party in Cupar to celebrate the end of Covid-19, have been postponed.

It was announced in April that ‘C in the Park’ could be held in Haugh Park in September – should the pandemic have ended. It was hoped the event would give locals something to look forward to when lockdown ended.

However, with the virus still going, the organising committee has postponed the event until March 2021.

In a statement on the group’s Facebook page, it said the event next year would be ‘bigger and better’. Plans to book Rick Astley or Chesney Hawkes were also suggested – both have been linked with switching on the Christmas lights over the last decade.
