Plans for new takeaway and retail units in Fife town

Plans have been submitted for a new takeaway and retail units in Leven.

The units would be fitted between Lidl and the former Royal Bank of Scotland branch on School Lane, which is currently a car park.

The development would be made up of four units – three class 1 retail units and one takeaway.

The proposed opening hours are 9am-10.30pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am-11pm, Saturday and Sunday.

The application states: ‘The proposal will provide convenient additional shopping facilities immediately adjacent to the town’s core retail area and within walking distance of a large number of residential properties.’
