The development will see St David's Parish Church on Lower Largo's Main Street turned into a six-bed house.

While the church sits within the Lower Largo Conservation Area, the building itself is not listed. However, as part of the plans, the external fabric of the church will be repaired.

The first floor will feature an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area.

Meanwhile, the ground floor will be separated into six-bedrooms, four of which will be ensuite. It will also feature a bathroom, plant room, housekeeper's store and laundry.

The report states: “The proposal will enhance the quality and choice of tourist accommodation in the local area, and contribute to wider community regeneration objectives by bringing a vacant building of significant architectural merit back into use.”

The plans were approved with no conditions.
