Police searching for a vulnerable missing man in St Andrews have recovered a body.
The family of Andrew Ward have been informed. The 47-year old was reported missing after last being seen on Tuesday evening.
Lifeboats searched the shoreline on Thursday afternoon. Formal identification of the body has yet to take place.
