Police Scotland have named the man killed following a crash in Leven.

Robert Walker (59) from Levenmouth died in the early hours of Sunday morning when he was struck by a car on the A915 Largo Road.

Police said he was pronounced dead at the scene.

PC Wayne Allan from Glenrothes Road Policing said: “Our thoughts remain with the friends and family of Robert at this difficult time."

He renewed an appeal for any witnesses to come forward - and anyone with dash cam footage to get in touch

He continued: "Our investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

"We would appeal to anyone who may have seen this crash to speak to officers. We are also appealing to anyone with dash cam footage or CCTV on their houses which may have caught the crash to let us know.”

The driver of the car, a 22-year old, was not injured.

Police closed the road for several hours as investigations got underway
