Fife Coast and Countryside Trust is looking for someone to take over the facility at Harbourmaster’s House in Dysart.

The cafe, which was run by Fife Council, closed in June.

Its financial viability had been under scrutiny for several years, and lockdown was the final straw.

Now, the trust is looking for a new operator to pick up the franchise.

The cafe is based in the B-listed 19th century building in Hot Pot Wynd, next to Dysart Harbour.

Jeremy Harris, CEO, said: “The historic setting gives ready access to extraordinarily beautiful stretches of the Fife Coastal Path and local attractions such as Ravenscraig park and Castle.

“We will be renovating other areas of the building including the coastal centre in the basement as well as the toilets.

“When complete, Harbourmaster’s House will not only be a local treasure but a draw for visitors who flock to Fife’s coast each year.”
