The winning artworks were selected after featuring in the 2019 Fife Art competition to NHS Fife.

The winners, who were invited to a presentation at Kirkcaldy Galleries on Friday, were: Dinnes McArthur, Dalgety Bay, 'Talk Like an Egyptian’; Thomas Cargill, Cowdenbeath, 'The Over Thinker'; Joyce Munro, Dunfermline, 'Fish and Chips'; Moira S MacPherson, Kelty, 'Tuppence a Bag'; Craft Award – Angela Braisher, Lochgelly, 'Matchstick Jewellery Box'; Youth Award - Andrew Fretwell, Cupar, 'The Fifer'.

The exhibition sponsor, Shell UK, was represented by Mossmorran plant manager Teresa Waddington and NHS Fife by the Rt Hon Tricia Marwick.

The six winning works are purchased by Shell UK and presented to Fife hospitals and other health facilities.

Fife Art is the Kingdom’s biggest annual arts competition for amateur artists and last year attracted more than 200 entries.
