Nourish received a massive boost to its appeal two weeks ago when Fife Council gave it a £5000 grant.

Since launching the appeal at the end of August. it has raised a whopping £14,300 toward its target with more pledges of donations yet to come.

Scores of well-wishers have rallied and donations have poured in from individuals, groups, and local businesses.

Balwearie High School’s Department of Additional Support also held a cycling challenge where pupils, some of whom attend Nourish, raised £700.

Lynne Scott, centre manager said: “We are almost at our target so we have been able to move into our new base. The last few weeks have really been hectic but we are almost there.

"We have been busy moving all of our equipment in with the help of volunteers and local removal companies.

"If all goes to plan, we will be ready to fully open to support families next Monday.”

Lynne said the level of support Nourish has received has made her emotional at times.
