Restrictions ease as Fife pools open to more swimmers
Fife Sports and Leisure Trust is now offering family and inclusive swimming sessions so that more people can enjoy time in the water.
COVID rules meant that only lane swimming was possible after facilities returned from lockdown.

Hide AdNow, following thorough risk assessments by the charitable trust, it is making available pool time for swimmers such as families, disabled and older adults during non-lane swimming sessions.
The sessions will be launched at Michael Woods Sports and Leisure Centre, Levenmouth Swimming Pool and Sports Centre, Carnegie Leisure Centre, Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre and Cupar Leisure Centre from December 5.
These will be in addition to the public swimming, Learn to Swim and club training sessions already on offer.

Hide AdEmma Walker, chief executive, said: “We have had a great response from local communities since we re-opened centres.
“Although we’ve had to adapt to the latest Level 3 restrictions - which prohibits group indoor exercise and sports for adults - we have still been able to offer our gyms and pools for customers.
“We have been working hard to make accessible our pools to those who are not able, or prefer not to, swim in the lane sessions.
“Following fantastic work by our teams, we are very pleased to be extending our swim programme to allow families, older adults and disabled customers more choice.
