Three-year old Robyn was struck by a car in Townhill, Dunfermline, on August 3, and died later at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy.

A horse drawn carriage carried her coffin, and mourners were asked to wear something pink.

An online appeal to help with funeral costs is now being closed after exceeding £18,000.

It was set up by her uncle, Paul Marshall, and was overwhelmed with donations from almost 900 people.

His original target of £5000 was quickly surpassed, and he also set out to walk the West Highland Way to add further funds.

With that now completed, Paul intends to close the fund.

Writing on the Crowdfunding page, he said: “I never expected to raise such a huge amount. Barry and Danielle, Robyn’s parents, are truly blown away with all your generosity. This money will go a long way to giving Robyn the perfect send off and help to ensure her memory lives on.”
