Swimming lessons set to return after six months in lockdown
Swimming lessons are set to re-start at pools across Fife.
The move comes after six months of lockdown when all facilities were closed due to pandemic restrictions.
Scottish Swimming has been working with Fife Sports & Leisure Trust to bring the classes back.

Hide AdA range of new measures will be put in place that includes instructors teaching from the poolside and children arriving ‘beach ready’ with their costumes under clothing to minimise time in changing rooms.
Lee Cunningham, aquatics manager at the trust, said: “We are really looking forward to kick-starting our ‘Learn to Swim’ programme.
“We have been working hard to deliver the highest health and safety protocols in line with the Scottish Government, NHS Scotland and industry guidelines and we are confident that participants will be assured by our measures.”
The classes will resume on Monday, October 12.
The Learn to Swim programme partnership, which has helped to create a 100,000-strong new generation of young, safe swimmers across Scotland, was extended for a fourth year earlier this month.

Hide AdEuan Lowe, Scottish Swimming chief executive officer, said: “We are thrilled that, after a halt for six months, swimming lessons are to restart and children can learn - once more - how to be more confident and safer in the water.”
Parents are being given an advice leaflet to guide them on the changes being made to allow a safe return to the water and there will be a range of resources and new signage in pools to provide additional guidance and reassurance.
