The Cottage Family Centre smashes Christmas Appeal target

The Cottage Family Centre, has smashed this year’s Christmas Appeal target, raising over £35,000 to help some of the most vulnerable children and families in the area.

The appeal, which started early this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, is a vital lifeline to families who without it would be waking up on Christmas Day with no presents to open or no meal to sit down to.

Over the last two months, people and businesses from Kirkcaldy and the surrounding area, have pulled out all of the stops to ensure that no child would be left behind this festive period.

From skydivers to supermarkets, and school kids to seniors, the people of Kirkcaldy have once again shown the immense community spirit that they are famous for.

Pauline Buchan, strategic manager of the Cottage said: “Thanks to the generosity of businesses, local people young and old we have smashed the £35k fundraising target and are busy at the warehouse preparing for delivery day next week.”
