In the Autumn Texas Scramble– a joint competition with Leven Golfing Society (Hosts) and Leven Thistle G.C. which closes the competitive season, three holes in one were recorded by L.G.S. members.
First was Jackie Taylor a 6 handicapper of indeterminate age at the 7th hole with a 4 iron playing at some 170 yards.
This was his 3rd ace, the first at the 5th at about 150 yards in 1987 or thereabouts, second at the at the 15th about 1993 and 185 yards playing in the 2nd round of LTGC championship qualifying. This only leaves him with the 5th to get a full house of par 3s at Leven.
Second was Derek Brown 10 handicap, also at the 7th playing a rescue club. This is his second ace, the first about 35 years ago in a non competitive situation.
The final ace was Jim Watson another 10 handicapper of indeterminate age, at the 5th hole playing a 7 iron at about 160 yards. This is also his second, the first being at the 7th in 1980\81 playing in a competition with then captain Walter Scott.
