Two words have never been more important. Thank You.

As a nation we have faced one of the biggest challenges to test our resolve and resilience in the face of a silent killer we have never battled before.

In such difficult times, a single action from another can make such a tremendous difference.

With the majority of people in Fife either working from home or furloughed due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Fife Free Press plans to salute our unsung heroes.

From cleaners to cab drivers, they are at the very heart of our a huge effort to keep our communities ticking, and supporting our most vulnerable folk.

They have all gone about their duties with incredible commitment. Scores of individuals have simply carried out remarkable acts of kindness that resonated – be it a trip to the shop, a friendly wave to a vulnerable neighbour or a rainbow in a window.

That’s why the Fife Free Press is part of The Big Thank You – an initiative which is running across all our newspapers.
