Three more Fife schools hit by postive COVID tests

Three more schools across Fife have been affected by positive COVID tests, wrestling in pupils being told not to attend classes.

NHS Fife confirmed the outbreaks in its latest updates.

All P2/3 pupils at Leslie Primary School have been asked not to attend school today (Wednesday) following a suspected case of COVID-19 linked to the school.

An individual linked to Anstruther Primary School hasalso tested positive for COVID-19.

They are currently isolating at home with other household members.

As a precaution, all pupils in the P6 class only are being asked not to attend school and to self-isolate until Thursday October 8, returning to school on the ninth.

Children at the school’s P5/6 class arenot affected and should attend school as normal.

An individual linked to Queen Anne High School in Dunfermline has tested positive for COVID-19.

As a precaution, all pupils in class 2C3 are being asked not to attend school and should isolate until today (Thursday) before returning on Friday.

In addition, a small number of pupils from class 2C4 have been contacted and asked to isolate.

NHS Fife said there was no evidence to suggest any onward transmission within the school at this stage and the risk to pupils and staff appears to be low.
