Several people who met through the StAnza poetry and creative arts festival, and who were interested in writing their own verse, have just successfully published and launched a book called ‘Poetry Share’.
Meeting once a month in Colinsburgh Library since April 2013, the seven original members have four poems each in it, while the newest member has two. The group is made up of writers from Anstruther, Pittenweem, St Monans, Elie and Colinsburgh.
”Publishing being a pricey business, their monthly fees would not have covered the costs,” said a group spokesman. “But, with a grant from Fife Cultural Trust, and advertisements taken by StAnza, Pittenweem Arts Festival and Colinsburgh Community Cinema, a classy little book has been achieved.”
An ideal stocking filler, copies are for sale in Colinsburgh Corner Shop, The Cocoa Tree in Pittenweem, The Bookshop, Anstruther, and J&G Innes in St Andrews.
