Person dies after being hit by train at Kirkcaldy
A person has died after being hit by a train at Kirkcaldy station.
The incident happened on Friday evening at around 6.10pm, with British Transport Police and ambulance services in attendance.
However, the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to the line in Kirkcaldy shortly after 6.10pm on 15 May following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the Procurator Fiscal.
