The pupils from Tanshall Primary School certainly made a splash this week after celebrating the end of term and the completion of eight-weeks of swimming tuition.
And wanting to put their new found skills to the test the youngsters went for a dip in the swimming pool at the Michael Woods Sports Centre as part of a specially arranged swimming fun day.
The poolside frolics have been an annual event in recent years, but as the school heads into its final term before its closes its doors for the last time on July 3, the pupils were determined to make the most of the pool inflatables and slides at their disposal.
A spokesman for the school said the fun day was a reward for all the effort put in to the classes by the pupils and certainly got the seal of a pproval from everyone involved.
With more people than ever now using the pool and sports facilities at the Michael woods Centre, there has never been a better time to learn to swim ... as the Tanshall pupils have proved.
