Lundin Links woman, and former Kirkland PE teacher, Kitty Walker has pleaded with the local public to help find her beloved cat Ollie.

Kitty - who celebrated her 60th birthday yesterday - has MS and was very ill last Christmas, spending seven weeks in hospital. Her road to recovery has been long and slow, but fortunately she is now almost back to full strength.

However, her birthday festivities have been somewhat subdued as the family’s black cat, Ollie, went missing from their home in Woodlands Road, Lundin Links on October 19.

Ollie, a small black female car, with a sprinkle of white on her neck, likes to sit on Kitty’s lap and ride around with her in her power wheelchair. “She also likes to curl up beside me if I’m in bed unwell,” said Kitty. “I miss her dreadfully.”

The family are calling on local residents to check their garages, sheds and outhouses and to keep an eye on the windows of any holiday homes which may have been vacated recently.

“The best birthday present I could have is to get my wee cat back. That’s all I want,” said Kitty. Anyone with information should call 01333 320864.
