Police in Levenmouth have been quick to assure the local public that claims of sexual harassment and sexual activity in the public toilets at Letham Glen Park in Leven are unfounded.

The Mail understands that complaints had been made about behaviour at the public conveniences – owned and operated by Fife Council at the entrance to the town park – but local police said there had been no report of any crime made to them.

Community Inspector Tom Brown – who replaced outgoing inspector Donald Jenks last month – said: “We are aware of some complaints with regard to behaviour in this area.

“However, to date, there has been no report of any crime and we are not aware of any evidence to support any allegations of criminality.

“We will continue to work with our partners in Fife Council to resolve any complaints and would urge everyone using the park to be considerate and respectful of their fellow park users.”
