Students in particular have been targeted since April, with two further incidents last weekend, and several “high value items” have been among the personal possessions stolen from accommodation, library and other university buildings, such as lecture theatres.

“These are opportunistic thefts and we urge students to care of their possessions and not to leave their valuables unattended,” said PC Norman Hill is the Fife Division University Liaison Officer.
