Police helicopter assists in Kirkcaldy pursuit

A man was arrested following an incident involving a police helicopter in Kirkcaldy last night.

A police helicopter helped with the pursuit in Kirkcaldy

The helicopter was seen flying around Kirkcaldy shortly before 10pm on Wednesday and its arrival attracted a lot of attention from members of the public who took to social media to find out what was happening.

A spokesman for Police Scotland told the Press: ““Police in Fife utilised the helicopter on Wednesday during the pursuit of a vehicle in the Kirkcaldy area.

“A 28-year-old was later arrested and charged in connection with a number of commercial housebreakings.

“He is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court today.”

They added that the helicopter had been called on as it was in the area at the time.
