Police are appealing for information to help identify two boys driving unregistered motorcycles dangerously in Kirkcaldy.
They were spotted on the road and footpath at Dunnikier Way, and also inside the playground at Kirkcaldy High School between 1.10pm and 1.20pm on Thursday.
One is described as mid to late teens and wearing a multi-coloured helmet with matching gloves, blue Adidas hooded top with white stripes down the sleeves, blue Adidas tracksuit bottoms with white stripes down the legs and grey Adidas trainers with white stripes.
He was riding a blue and white Yamaha motorcycle with 100 written on it. It had a blue seat with Yamaha written in white.
The second boy is also described as mid to late teens, wearing a white helmet, blue jacket, grey jogging bottoms and dark footwear. He was riding a black and white motorcycle.
Constable Steven Black, of Kirkcaldy Police Station, said: “This was highly irresponsible and although it might’ve seemed like a bit of fun at the time, someone could’ve been hurt and this behaviour won’t be tolerated in our community.
“Our activity around this is part of Operation Fireblade, where we are targeting the illegal use of motorbikes and quad bikes.
“If anyone recognises the description of these boys, or perhaps saw them around the time of the incident in a nearby area, please contact us.”
Those with any information should contact 101.
