Police investigation into 'suspicious' Kirkcaldy death

The 42-year-old was found unconcious on Tweed Avenue, close to the junction with Lawson Street, around 6.45 pm on Saturday evening.

He was rushed to Victoria Hospital but later died of his injuries.

His death is being treated as suspicious by Police Scotland in Fife and inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

Police Inspector Gary Combe of Kirkcaldy police station said: “Our inquiries are at an early stage and we would appeal to anyone with information that can assist us to please come forward.

“There will be a police presence in the area during the early stages of this inquiry with high visibility reassurance patrols.

“We are grateful for the support and cooperation of the local community.

“Anyone with information or concerns is encouraged to speak to an officer or alternatively call Police Scotland on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
